This client bought the home in 2017 and asked us to help improve the soil through functional composting systems for vegetable and ornamental gardens. We needed to integrate scattered garden areas using different elements. We designed walking paths, used ground covers, added a new greenhouse for nursing cuttings and transplants, a rainwater harvesting system to avoid pumping water from the lake, and a yearly calendar to use local resources to create fertilizers and cycle nutrients.
