Garden Design
Using a holistic approach, we create beautiful edible gardens, food forests, and ornamental spaces. We focus on regenerative techniques based on Permaculture principles.
Our Garden Design Process
01
Initial Consultation
We like to meet all garden design clients face to face on site. We can look at the space together and agree on a design brief. We will also ask about your budget so right from the start, your design journey is practical and achievable.
03
Concept Plan
The Concept Plan is a 2D scaled drawing of the proposed layout for your garden, showing areas of hard landscaping, planting and features. This step will leverage considerations outlined in the Initial Consultation to understand how the place will look.
05
Detailed Plan
Particularly on larger projects, Concept Plans need to be converted to detailed drawings that allow for accurate pricing and construction.
02
Site Survey
The survey gives an accurate base and starting point – the outlay is easily offset by eradicating errors and assumptions. We can point you in the direction of surveyors if you don’t already have one. We also do research on your local climate, soil, regional challenges, current zoning system, sector compass, and more.
04
Planting Plan
Next is the Planting Plan. This will be done to create a scheme for your chosen plant species. We specialize in companion planting that looks great without requiring constant care to keep them that way.
06
Optional Items
This includes work such as a fully designed maintenance guide eBook, 3D visuals, and animations that might be required. Clients can request a quote if they would like to see any other elements of their projects.
